Listening to Felger and Mazz today and they brought up this rumor. Would the Patriots go after Aaron Rodgers? My answer is hell no. Why? because you let the greatest of all time walk out the door because you didn’t want to pay him. You watch him go to Tampa and win a Super Bowl while you go 7-9 with Cam Newton. So, in 2021 you load up to tank so you can get Rodgers in 2022 and pay him big money?
No thanks, you should’ve just paid Brady and stacked the roster then. People really want to see Rodgers who in big spots can’t win and chokes. He’s self centered and would rather host game shows than try and win another Super Bowl? Patriots fans should be flat out insulted if they go out and spend big on Rodgers when you had the greatest to ever do it walk out the door for nothing.
Aaron Rodgers As A Patriot Would Be Insulting
I want nothing to do with him. I’d rather take Garoppolo or some other veteran to be a bridge gap for whoever rookie they draft this year. Robert Kraft would never let anyone else wear the number 12 ever, ever again. There’s people out there that think he would allow Belichick to get Rodgers and keep his number? No way, The only person to ever wear 12 is Brady and that number will be retired.
I get it in Green Bay Rodgers is tired of it and wants to go somewhere to win and be appreciated. However, New England isn’t the answer. It would be a slap in the face to Brady who devoted 20 years to this organization and won Six Super Bowls. Rodgers has one won and isn’t even the same competitor as Brady in the postseason. That’s all that matters what you do when it matters the most.
Aaron Rodgers is a pipe dream and will never happen. Belichick doesn’t value the quarterback position at all. He spent millions building around a quarterback without having a quarterback. Who knows if Cam Newton will have a standout year with talent on the roster. All we do know is Belichick won’t trade up in the draft or go out and spend money on Aaron Rodgers when they let Brady leave to win a Super Bowl. The Aaron Rodgers rumor is ridiculous and a pipe dream.
