The Patriots Path To The Playoffs

The Patriots Path To The Playoffs

The Patriots’ path to the playoffs is slim. They currently in eleventh place in the AFC. The Patriots are behind Denver, Miami, Baltimore, and the Vegas Radiers for the last playoff spot. The Patriots lost to Denver this year and still have to play Miami again. There is no path for the Patriots their season is over. Cam Newton is not Tom Brady. He can’t pull game winning drives and cover up holes on the team as Brady could. The Patriots played well against the Baltimore Ravens, then didn’t show up in Houston. The up and down Patriots team is inconsistent.

Patriots Path To Playoffs Is Shrinking

For the first time since 2008, the Patriots won’t win the division. There has been a lot of excuse-making from Belichick in recent weeks regarding this season. They aren’t a good enough team to win the Super Bowl but they are good enough to be .500. They are average at best and need to rebuild for the future. Newton isn’t the answer at quarterback and I’m not really sure who is. It will be hard for this team to make the playoffs this season. They need help in the secondary on defense and haven’t had a tight end since Gronk quit.

The best Patriots receiver is Jakobi Meyers. Byrd is second and N’Keal Harry is a bust. He’s good for blocking that’s about it. Harris is the number one running back who’s shined in recent weeks. While Sony Michel is another first-round draft pick bust. The Patriots still have to face Buffalo, Miami, and the Jets again. They should have no trouble beating the Jets but who knows they barely beat them a few weeks ago. The Bill’s and Miami could be toss-ups as the Patriots don’t play well in Maimi. There are about five weeks left they’d have to win out to even talk about tiebreakers for the playoffs. I don’t see it happening.
