Patriots Captain Cam Newton Excited For The New Challenge He Faces

Patriots quarterback Cam Newton is about to make his debut in a Patriots uniform. The first one in last one out his motivation is key going into the season. Newton's positivity is key around the team with the absence of Tom Brady. Newton named team captain and the starter proves that so far it's working with Newton and the Patriots. However, with these receivers who does Newton have to throw to besides Edelman? He seems to have some good connection with N'Keal Harry, but we'll see if he'll rebound from having a down year last year.

It Could Be An Exciting Year For The Patriots Offense

Newton was hungry from the moment he signed. Working with teammates at practice fields before training camp started. They never saw this Cam Newton before. Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels will be running plays he never ran with Tom Brady. Newton is faster than Brady and could take the load off receivers if they can't get open. Instead of throwing it away he will just run and extend plays. Newton's athletic ability has the chance to shine with the Patriots. I think Newton is healthy enough to play all 16 games because he wants to prove he's still an elite quarterback in the league.

No Preseason Games Could Benefit Them

With no preseason games, we never got a glimpse of how this offense will work. Newton wasn't going to unveil anything we're just going to have to wait and see. But he seems to be building chemistry with the players and coaches. Being named captain he's got the opportunity to take a real leadership role. Along with the McCourty's, Matt Slater, James White, and David Andrews. The new-look team of 2020 will be a must-watch. I think the Patriots finish the season 10-6 and win the division.
