With training camp hopefully starting in a month Jarrett Stidham is getting a head start. With no OTA's because of the ongoing pandemic Stidham is still finding time to work with his primary target at receiver. It's not totally clear that he is the starter Week 1, but one can make the assumption that he will be. I don't think Brian Hoyer is the solution to start the year, and Stidham seems to be the quarterback of the future.
Stidham and Edelman back at it on the Football Field
Former Red Sox player Brock Holt took to Instagram yesterday and posted a video of him throwing passes to Julian Edelman. Stidham's response of "We've been at it where you at bro?!", clearly talking about Brock Holt, means Stidham and Edelman have been working out like Brady is with his Tampa teammates. Nobody should have a problem with players working out themselves, or with teammates at different fields. These guys have a season to get ready for.
It's a great sign Edelman and Stidham are working together to build chemistry. I'm sure Stidham is working with N'Keal Harry as well, who is supposedly working on his footwork this off season. It benefits the Patriots not having to travel for training camp this year.
We need training camp to start on time. They should allow people to gather at Gillette to watch the practices this summer. It would be cool and interesting to see how this team looks without Brady at the start of training camp. We need some type of sports back in our lives, and I'm looking forward to football beginning in July.
