Red Sox Get Slap On The Wrist, Far Less Than Astros In Act & Penalty

Red Sox Get Slap On The Wrist, Far Less Than Astros In Act & Penalty

We now go to the immortal Jeff Passan, who has the barebones, and unfortunately has to mention that ambulance chaser Drellich:

Also of note, Alex Cora is only suspended through 2020 playoffs due to his work with the Houston Astros. It goes without saying that Cora should 100% be back with the Red Sox in 2021, all things being equal.

Here is the Red Sox statement:

The 2018 Red Sox are choir boys compared to the garbage pale banging Astros. The trumped up charges aired by Drellich (and Rosenthal) should warrant a full blown apology at the very least. This story ($) makes the Sox out to be horrible offenders of the sacred game. Reading between the lines it was just what the commissioner came up with in the end, not a full blown felony, barely a misdemeanor. But slandering the Red Sox and Alex Cora was en vogue when it was written.

Alex Cora was not involved, and should 100% be back with the Red Sox and celebrated for ferrying the record breaking 2018 World Champs.
